Google will block embedded cryptocurrency mining malware with new Chrome feature
If you followed my recent posts, then you know hidden cryptocurrency miners have been a big threat to many users. Using someone's CPU power without their knowledge to mine is just unethical. Not to mention that it definitely affects the lifespan of the CPU in question. Asking for the user's consent must be implemented. So Google Chrome, as reported by Chrome engineer Ojan Vafai, is looking to resolve this issue and either notify the users, or block those miners automatically. Lets just hope they don't wait too long and this happens before cybercriminals figure out a way to bypass the new system.
