    I'm sure Tether/Bitfinex could have manipulated it some but I think the huge spike last year was due to people getting in thinking they could make fast money then running away when banks started calling it a bubble, then had no desire to get back in because they don't really now anything about blockchain other than it helped them make a few thousand dollars real quick before last year's holiday season.
