BTC Dominance: 42.2%
Bitcoin is slowly recovering its dominance, had reached a minimum of 30% dominance and in early January when the Total Market cap achieved its ALL TIMES HIGH bitcoin had a dominance of 36%.
Today Btc is at 42% and seems to start a 60% curve, I understand it as a good indicator of a possible start of the cycle, without a doubt when FIAT enters the market will mostly be in bitcoin.
let's see if bears step down soon, they can not hold longer just because tech is here with a tone of builders.

I think alts are overhyped and Bitcoin dominance will come back over the years to come. I think the recent alt hype was a stage of the denial of Bitcoin. In 2016 BTC was not interesting, but blockchain was. Now you hardly don't hear anything about blockchain anymore......
In 2017 BTC was not interesting, but altcoins were. In 2018 this will die out and people will understand that the most robust, most innovative and most used blockchain is the Bitcoin blockchain.
maybe however this adopted groups btc & altcoins it's a mistake, there are +1500 "altcoin" and all cant be in the same group

Over time, when the blockchain's mature and more DAPPS are running on ETH, EOS etc...you will again see money from from BTC to the Alts, but right now, BTC is a "crypto" safety trade.
I think btc will see lower lows to test their support. In my latest post i explained why I m confident these crashes are no evil to crypto market in the big picture
'member when Bitcoin had 100% dominance? I 'member. Prepare yourselves for the dawning of the age of the alts. Bitcoin was like Ford cars, at one time they dominated the roads, but now they are just one of many players in a mature industry.
When I look at bitcoin chart, we soon see the bitcoin trading at $ 6.000

Bitcoin is the giant that makes shadow to the rest, this is where the altcoins will grow up, like new leaves need shadow at the beggining.
