Hello dear Steemians, i decided to start with writing about cryptocurrencies... I will try to help you in some way and explain, as far as it is in my capacity, the world of cryptocurrencies! Of course, I will start from Bitcoin, the first cryptocurrency that has triggered the whole technological revolution. I imagined this to be like some manual, most devoted to people who are just entering the world of cryptos. I hope it will help you at least a bit of understanding of the crypto world. EnjoY!

Bitcoin (BTC)>> Bitcoin, often called “Digital Gold” is the world’s first decentralized cryptocurrency based on blockchain. Bitcoin is designed to be a digital cash system that does not rely on a central trusted source. It was created in January 2009, founded by Satoshi Nakamoto. Utilizing blockchain technology, Bitcoin transactions are secured and recorded on a decentralized public ledger. New Bitcoins are generated trough a process called mining up, maximum supply is 21 million. One of the Bitcoin benefits are micropayments with low transactions fees. Also, another benefit is security.

A little bit. There is still a lot to learn.
Btc's is still the number 1 cryptocurrency even though it's getting the beat down by the whales that are trying to bring it's value down so they could buy more of it. and here's a proof that btc is still the top dog of the cryptocurrency.
