What Are Bitcoin Nodes?

Briefly

  • Bitcoin is a peer-to-peer digital cash system.
  • The originator node broadcast his transaction to surrounding nodes.
  • The receiving nodes re-broadcast the transaction and tell more nodes about.
  • So the whole Bitcoin network knows about the transaction and records it.
  • After a transaction is broadcast to the network, bitcoin miners (miner nodes) will confirm the transaction and record it on the blockchain.
