This is seriously an ambitious project but I will hope it'll succeed!

I can imagine you might meet issues in trying to ensure the available energy when it's not optimal conditions for solar energy production, but there are some means for this too.

Have you considered to use solar panels using so called solar tracking to increase the output per solar panel? This will increase the cost but the same time you'll receive more energy from a single panel.
