Anonymous trader buys $400 million in bitcoin
Play it all, or do not try. This seems to be the motto of a mysterious investor who bought nearly $ 400 million in bitcoin.
The market is in the midst of a recovery in the market for cryptocurrencies after a very bad start in 2018. The main virtual currencies lost 50% of their capitalization since the beginning of the year, as fears of market regulation and safety concerns, dominated with traders to abandon their positions. However, in the last few days the climate seems to change.
The bitcoin price has risen more than 60% since Feb. 6, when it was $ 6,000 and now trades again over $ 10,000.
"We do not know who this big buyer is, but many are the ones they bought in the fall and have grown because of the recovery and greater regulatory clarity from the US and China," Alex Sunnarborg of Tetras Capital says in MarketWatch.
The unknown trader who invested $ 400 million between February 9 and 12, now owns 96,000 bitcoins from 55,000 previously.
