As I write this, I reflect on the fact that my purchase of bitcoin over the course of 2017 was the best percentage gain (by far) that I have ever made on any currency or stock type investment. I was not one of the early adopters, since I am no tech guru. It took me a few years of study and research to really even begin to understand cryptocurrencies, bitcoin, blockchain, etc. I want to share with you what I feel could be an investment of a lifetime or generation, a game changer for you - the kind an individual only sees once or twice, if he's lucky enough to even be paying attention.

One of Warren Buffett's top rules is to never invest in what you don't understand. So I had to grasp what I was investing in to feel okay with jumping in.

I took a small investment that I could afford to lose, and I bought and held bitcoin through the roller coaster. All is said and done, and while I was up as much as 1650% during the year, I ended the year up around 1100%. Not too shabby for a newbie cryptocurrency investor.

I have to say though, I do have over 20 years in trading, analyzing and researching stocks, so I brought that to the table. Upon watching a lot of video, reading and researching for my personal needs, I began to realize I was much better informed on these topics than 99% of your "average Joe's" out there. I kept having ideas for investment related articles, ideas, videos and the thought to share them.

They keep proving true and working out very profitably.

Even though I really don't have a product to sell per se, I have begun to feel strongly I have valuable insight that it is my RESPONSIBILITY to share with those who are open-minded and responsible enough to use it for their own benefit. I also own a 5 Star, BBB accredited business I started from scratch, so I do understand trust intimately.

I want to bring you information, insight and opinion that you can trust, so in accord with that, I just want to get a few key points through to you today:

1 - My only regrets for 2017 were that my bitcoin position was not much, much larger and also that I did not start trading alternate cryptocurrencies in 2017, even though I was watching them rise more than my bitcoin.

2 - I believe we are at the beginning of a massive boom in all things cryptocurrency, bitcoin or blockchain, similar to the dot.com boom and others. However, I also see it as a very long term-trend. As the masses get involved prices will skyrocket making valuations and gains today seem paltry. I have seen $40 billion flow into Ripple's ( XRP ) market cap in just a few days. The big institutional money (smart money) has taken notice, very clearly. The combination of institutional money and retail money pouring into an investment is what drives massive price momentum. There will be big money made over the next 18-24 month period, spectacular failures, and long term winners like Amazon born.

3 - I also believe it is inevitable that Bitcoin and others will be accepted by Amazon as well as the commerce and banking industries in general and that this will drive explosive growth in cryptocurrency prices, bitcoin prices, blockchain stocks. If you are not invested in some way, you will live to regret it.

4 - I acknowledge that it is a challenging path for new investors, some of whom do not even have a general background in trading and investing. Information overload and a boatload of people trying to capitalize on people's desire to learn has created a challenge of some bad info and a vacuum for info that is concise, actionable, and timely, useful right now. I intend to help address that need. I spend hundreds and thousands of hours in research, I am going to share it.

5 - You should set aside some dedicated time to making a specific plan that incorporates cryptocurrency investing into your portfolio (Important fact - most people making real money in cryptos are buying and holding longer term, not really trading them - BE CAREFUL).
