Bitcoin Price Recovering Despite Bithumb Hack
Bitcoin (BTC) suffered a minor dip last night after it was revealed that hackers had breached again a major cryptocurrency exchange (Bithumb) , but TA still favor a rally upside.
Bitcoin fell from $6,740 to $6,560 after Bithumb – the sixth largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world by trading volume – confirmed that the attack had happened adding that about $32 million-worth of cryptocurrencies had been stolen.
The Korean cryptocurrency exchange has now suspended all deposit and withdrawal service in order to ensure the platform security and announced that it would fully compensate affected users.
This time seems that bitcoin is refusing the negative narrative despite the hack highlights the security risks that have plagued the cryptocurrency space .
At press time, the cryptocurrency is changing hands at $6,755 on Bitfinex .
So, Bitcoin short-term price outlook remains positive for now.
