in #bitcoin7 years ago

Gramatik, whose real name is Denis Jašarević, is a DJ, a Slovenian producer, born on 19 October 1984 in Portorož, Slovenia. He is an artist with many influences internationally known. The DJ decided tokenize some of his royalties by creating GRMTK tokens.

Gramatik and Bitcoin

In addition to being a musician, Denis is also passionate about new technologies. In 2013, he discovered Bitcoin thanks to one of his roommates of the time, passionate about computer science. He begins to take an interest in the subject and quickly understands the stakes behind this new digital currency. In the course of his research, he comes across an article about Satoshi Nakamoto, the mysterious creator of Bitcoin. He will make a song of it a few years later.

"I thought it was crazy that someone created this and he's still alive! "

Gramatik lived in a small village on the Adriatic coast in the former Socialist Republic of Slovenia. The artist has always had a strong anticapitalist bias and saw in Bitcoin a way to do without the current financial system.

"I have always despised the banks. In fact, I always hated everything that was related to finance "

Gramatik and Singular DTV

The founder of SingularDTV, Zach LeBeau is a big fan of Gramatik since his first albums. Listening to Satoshi Nakamoto (the music), he soon realizes that the artist knows blockchain and cryptocurrency. This former screenwriter seeks with SingularDTV to integrate the Blockchain into the entertainment industry. It seeks to decentralize this industry, while restoring the power to artists by passing intermediaries, such as record companies. To become the platform Singular DTV makes it possible to put on sale the intellectual property and the future royalties of an artist to fans and / or investors. Thus, the artist is self-financed and investors will be able to benefit from it in the form of dividends.

"I've been a big fan of Gramatik for years. I discovered his music around the same time I discovered Bitcoin. For anyone who knows him, he understands the movement of decentralization and his music goes hand in hand. If you're a fan, you may have heard him speak passionately in interviews about how he has emerged as an international celebrity through peer-to-peer file sharing on bittorrent, or heard him to preach about all that is wrong with the music industry ... I have never met an artist with such a "decentralized" mentality. He understands Blockchain so well that I did not really need to explain the concept of SingularDTV to him. He was with his management team, I told them about the apps we build, they asked me some questions about how they work, and the rest are about to be engraved in the history of crypto ", Zach LeBeau, founder of SingularDTV

"I waited for the release of a platform like SingularDTV that uses Blockchain technology to pass me intermediates. I just want to get my music out when I want and on my own terms. I want to get rid of all this bureaucracy. I just want to make music. In a world that belongs to banks and businesses, Blockchain technology is pretty much the only thing that gives me hope for the future. », Gramatik

On November 10, 2017, 25 million GRMTK tokens went on sale. For $ 0.09, you can purchase a GRMTK token, worth 0.0000001% of Gramatik's intellectual property, rights, revenue and royalties.

Like his music often ahead of his time, Gramatik will be one of the first DJs distributed on the blockchain.
