The price of bitcoin fell below $5,000 for the first time since October of 2017 and its current price – currently hovering above $4,800 – reflects a roughly 40 percent loss year-over-year.
It’s notable that this state of affairs came to fruition during a month that has historically proven to be bullish for bitcoin.
