I dunno about that.... Minergate is JUSt as competitive as any other miner software!
You probably just dont know that minergate actually WARNS people to use Ubuntu to mine Ethereum 30 percent faster! CORREECTION its now 60 percent faster!

i guess its cool that ur just trying to bring up discussion to help us all maximize our mining efficiency but HONESTLy most of us need to just get started and worrying about a relativly small loss of efficiency that might not even be true, is just something that will turn Newbs off......plus u dont give any evidence at all! This "GPU algo" u speak of makes people anxious and they dont anna have to worry about all this stuff, just let the learn it on their ownslowly and the only way to do this is by doing for most of us! they need to ueminergate because NO other mning softwware is this userfrienly and has MULTIPLE Altcoins INCLUDINg ethereum ETC Monero and Bytecoin and more...Minergate and steemit is the best kkept secret of crypto an we should be getting EVERY steemit user to mine using the laptops and android phones usedto go on steemit!
We shoul all be selling the coins we mine for steem too! @polonix and @bittrex both have the 4 big coins u can ine onMinergate (Zcash is also possible but u need an extra program to work with minrgate)

ALSO I talked to a friend who knows personally a Minergate developer who is currenctly working ontheir iOS mining app because so far they only have the Android mobile app, and they also have Windows Mac and Linux so its a shame thye have almost every big OS but iOS and once they do they ca get the power of alot of very fast iphones which also canall sync up more efficiently as a network alll having the same CPu speeds and this is going to to do for minrgate what WWe can do for minergate! if alllof steemit sarted mining with minergate they coul see how EASY it is to mine!

JUST MAKE SURE YOU ENABLE 2FA 2 FACTOR AUTHENTICATIOn on Minergate or you WILL get your coin stolen ! (NOT by minergate of course not,, but by hackers, because its hard to seccure mining pools if people dont use 2FA so u gotta use it! A stemit user here reported on his loss of less thana penny of XMR but still he admited it was his lack of 2FA and a bbrute force pasword attack an a fake IP from "russia" anyway minergate is AWESOME and its SO awesome hackers try stealing froom it! if u ever geet an"unkonw error" mining etc or ethereum jusgt go into ur computers Minergate foldder iin User > (ur username) and then >App Data > Local > Minergate folder thats ays liek minergateEThdata or something just delte those files, theres a video on youtube "How to solve Minergate Unknown Error" its simple u will have to do it once in awhile if u mine eth or etc they are more complicated then bytecoin or monero or the others that u can just mine like btc without a DAG a long hundred megabyte file u need to do the work for ethereum or ETC

anyway its a simple fix if u ever get that #mineergateunknownerror dont ever give up on minergate u can intall it on EVERY computter and android smartphone!!!
