Stop get your BTC out of Coinbase these crooks are going to steal your Bitcoin Cash!
Coinbase sent me an email last night regarding Bitcoin Cash, basically they are going to steal your Bitcoin Cash the forked version of Bitcoin that is set to happen on August 1st. If you hold any BTC on Coinbase I strongly recommend you transfer it to a wallet you control your private keys on. Some exchanges like HitBtc and Bittrex have stated they will support it and will credit user accounts with an equal amount of Bitcoin Cash, Poloniex has stated they are undecided so maybe they are going to steal funds as well or will wait and see if it even actually goes through as another currency.
Pity we can't trust the exchanges in the crypto market today. I wonder how much they plan to make out of that decision.
There needs to be a good decentralized crypto exchange the ones right now are mostly all centralized exchanges that sell decentralized tokens.
I noticed the same thing! absurd that they can just take people's money like that... Lost a lot of faith in Coinbase from that email.
Who do they think they are? No wonder Charlie Lee left that organization. They have gone downhill the last year they used to be good when I first joined 2 years ago..... No wonder people that have been around since the early bitcoin days only trust a paper wallet or hardware wallet like Trezor.
I completely agree. After seeing how exchanges can essentially do whatever they want with their customers money, a hardware wallet is the only safe place to keep cryptocurrency.
Thanks for the warning. It wouldn't be cool to lose your coins. Especially for those who hold a lot of them.
I already transferred bitcoin from coinbase to my wallet. Its better not to loose bitcoin cash :D
