It is today in 3rd Jan, 2009 first block was mined by satoshi.

It is today he quoted:‘The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks’ -

On 3rd Jan, 2009 first bitcoin transaction was done and the mining reward was 50 BTC.
