Captain Drakins' Bitcoin Show Needs your Input!

in #bitcoin8 years ago (edited)

The new episode of Captain Drakins' Bitcoin Show is online now. Its topic: how to exchange Bitcoins for conventional money. We are now working on the next episodes, and we would like to get some input from you for that!

Captain Drakins' is having a break during an exhausting shooting

In the new episode of his show, Captain Drakins explains why centralised exchanges are the achilles heel of the Bitcoin ecosystem: they are a single point of attack for hackers. As you have to transfer your coins to your account on an exchange, thieves can steal your Bitcoins.

Whenever the mainstream media report that "Bitcoin was hacked", usually it was only the server of a centralised Bitcoin exchange. Mt. Gox in 2014 was the most spectacular case, but there were many others. It is therefore important to decentralise the exchange business and create an invulnerable peer-to-peer infrastructure for it.

Our sponsor Bitalo is running a decentralised exchange, and they are not the only ones. Bitsquare is probably the most well known one. Localbitcoins is another example how to exchange Bitcoin without having to transfer money to a central institution.

New episodes for the show are now being conceived

We are now working on the scripts for the next episodes of Captain Drakins' Bitcoin Show. The idea is to create a series about the basic things that everbody should know about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general.

We want to answer the most common questions in an easily understandable way, so that you could show the videos to your grandmother and she would get it.

From your experience, what are the most important question people have about cryptocurrencies? How do you answer them? Please let us know in the comments!

Cool, going to check this out!

And what are typical questions about cryptocurrencies that people have according to your experience?

It seems to be many people trust the idea of virtual token, but many of them ask me this question?
Who actually accepts this? or how asian people say, where can spend ma? It's a silly question !
No one actually ask how the cryptocurrency gets minted, whether it's secured or not!
Money is a taboo subject for many, same applies to cryptocurrency! I kinda hate this! I would have to lecture someone every time but when i tell them, did you know that essentially your money at the bank is just a digital code! That bankers don't keep your money in one vault like how it is the movie Harry Potter.
You should question what they know, starting with money the have in their bank account. Because Paper money is real, leaving little to question. Many of them would just ask that question, i think to essentially not bring up the topic of Cryptocurrencies. Not everyone is the same, many people don't even wanna talk cryptocurrency. Maybe it because it's not mainstream enough however user like @aaronkoening do their best to educate the masses. Keep it up!
