A Simple Trick Makes a Hacker $2.5 Million Richer in an Ethereum Hack

in #bit6 years ago

A hacker has managed to manage more than $ 7 million in virtual currency during the initial coin offer (ICO) of Sikkon by deceiving people into sending their cryptocurrency on the wrong address. A trading platform for cryptocarias, Sikkadash has claimed that its investors were sending their money to the hacker during an etherium ICO, not the company.

Sikkadash was offering an etherium ICO on this Monday - a token cell event which allows investors to hold an app share, similar to the campaign of a crowd. Generally, the ICO brings millions of dollars in the app because investors wait for these token sales programs to be the owners of the shares in a project.

But yesterday, this anticipation resulted in delusion and money for some people when the investors started sending their money to a hacker. Within five minutes of this token sales program, Sikshachsh warned that its website has been hacked and that investors have been asked not to send the etherium to the shared address (a string of text) on their website. A hacker changed the official wallet address by itself.
