It is a beautiful wednesday morning....

I am up rather early here in the midwest of the united states. I have an early morning doctors appointment. Nothing too dramatic, just results from bloodwork done a few weeks ago, and regular diabetes checkup. Although i am somewhat anxious about a few of the bloodwork results. As i am nearing 50, my Dr. is testing for my prostate, and cancer(as at least 1 family member has had it) so as to be a little proactive. Yiiiikes, next will be the digital prostate exam, and possible colonostomy....not looking forward to either of those in my future.... but it is simply a part of growing old i suppose..

Afterwards i intend upon going shopping for my little brother's birthday presents... I will be heading to the sportsmans store. While there i hope to replace a few guns that my brother had stolen years ago while he was on vacation.

maybe i'll start by getting him an upgrade for the 9mm he had stolen by getting him an springfield arms .45acp

then maybe replace his 12ga. shotgun with a mossberg model 500

then if i'm lucky, replace his winchester model 70 deer rifle

and if i have enough money left ... buy him a little suprise, a springfield armory AR15 / M4 sporting rifle

I am wanting to replace these for him mainly because a neighbor of his stole them from him(he found out after the fact). He has always wanted to replace them, but just couldn't justify spending the money while raising his daughters, or taking care of his wife who is in poor health. So here i am today, while i don't have alot of money to be throwing around either, i am in a position today in which i should be able to give him a very happy birthday. For even if i don't have enough to get him every one of these guns whatever i do manage to get for him will be a huge suprise... He isn't even going to expect anything like this. As i normally do not buy gifts for people. if i do, it's usually a gift card or something that reallly doesn't take much effort or thought. This is something i have been thinking about doing for him for a few years now, and i think i am in a place where i can do it and give him a really good birthday... so we shall see. wish me luck.
