✔️The European greenfinch or simply the greenfinch (Chloris chloris), juvenile.

I often hear these birds in the spring, their wonderful trills and humming calls. By the way, in the old days, we called them "forest canaries". Unfortunately, in our region, and perhaps throughout Siberia, these birds for some reason are very afraid of people, when in other regions they let themselves be photographed without any problems and even willingly visit feeders. This is strange.
I took these photos in mid-July, they show a young bird. Four young greenfinches flew from branch to branch, on their own, I did not see their parents, but most likely they were somewhere nearby.
The bird is for the most part granivorous, and only from the beginning to the second half of summer do they eat slow insects which they can easily catch, such as beetles or ants.
