The ruff (Calidris pugnax)
Sorry, today I’ll just post a photo. I'm just incredibly tired! In our city, the regime of self-isolation was weakened and walks were allowed. And of course, I went to the forest.
In general, all this is strange. The beginning of May, and the temperature has been a couple of weeks over 20 C degrees. Moreover! Lilacs are already blooming, wild strawberry flowers have appeared, and other plants that should bloom only in June! However, despite the summer weather, not all birds have returned- I did not find the Oriole and Rosefinch. Most of the birds in the forest are already paired, and therefore there are practically no mating songs, only songs protecting the territory. Particularly rare birds are still looking for a partner.
