The mallard (Anas platyrhynchos)

We have, far beyond the city, good picturesque places untouched by people. I decided to go there. The road to there is very far and difficult, but worth it. Due to the fact that our main big river flows there, many water birds live there.

Here is a photo from there. Autumn is the most pleasant time for such walks.

And of course, there were many duck mallards. But unlike the urban ones, who used to live in city parks and ponds and see people everywhere, these were real wild ducks. Having barely noticed that I was approaching them, they soared into the sky.
