The three-toed woodpecker (Picoides tridactylus)

This dude was with a female and several Willow Tits. As usual, he examined the trees below, without rising above three, or even two, meters. This is funny, because a Great Spotted Woodpecker, from autumn to spring, explores trees only at the tops, and only in spring it goes lower and lower. Sometimes it seems to me that these three-toed woodpeckers know this, that everything on the top has already been studied by Great Spotted guys, so they look for insects right below, where they do not descend.
