The ruff (Calidris pugnax)

For a long time I did not upload photos of these sandpipers.

Every year I see them on the river, in the same place. Here their migration route passes, and they migrate naturally orientating along the rivers.

After all, they are near-water birds, and along the way they stop to rest and eat, find various aquatic insects and mollusks in the mud and shallow water.
