The common redpoll (Acanthis flammea)
These birds can be seen on the outskirts of cities, parks, groves, at the very end of autumn, when it is already quite cool, frost and snow appear. The easiest way to discover is hear them, they are very noisy and spend almost all the time on the tops of the birch, where do they pick birch thyrsus. Occasionally they descend to the ground, usually in the fields where wormwood or thistle grows. And in the spring, they explore thawed ground and hemp.
The bird is very easily lures to the sound. It’s funny, even if you don’t see and hear them around, it’s enough to turn on the sound of redpolls on your phone, as 2-3 birds will fly from somewhere.
