Ratel's photos #170 Water Birds-12
The little stint (Calidris minuta) (or Erolia minuta)
Very very tiny and cute sandpiper. The size of a sparrow.
I found this guy on the coast, or rather, when the river retreated and laid bare stones. This sandpiper energetically walked over the rocks and dirt. He was just unstoppable! He only stopped only once for a few seconds, when he wanted to poop :)
"Oh! Insect!"
"Get over here!"
Apart from him, there with him walked two white wagtails and a yellow wagtail.
And they did not just walk amicably, but they formed a flock. When the two wagtails decided to fly away, he followed them.
About which I can conclude that mixed bird flocks gather not only titmouses with nuthatches, woodpeckers and warblers, but also water birds.
