I would not be at all surprised if they would eat hemp seeds. I might have to see if I can get some at the pet store. I think hemp seeds are part of bird food for some caged birds.
hemp seeds make birds hot, if you know what i mean...not good for caged birds unless you want them to breed

Maybe I'll wait until spring to get the hemp seeds. :-)
