One of the most Populard and beautiful birds: The Robin
And again an post about birds from me here on Hive. :-) But I can't deny I just love them. Tiny birds like these robins, big birds like Eagles all of them have a place in my heart. But one of the birds I like the most ist the Robin, it is just lovely. Not very shy, has a beautiful red spot on the front and is easily distinguishable from other birds. Also it is a pretty common bird and can be found the whole year round. You can get pretty close to them since they are not really shy, during garden work this bird can follow every one of your steps since it is picking up small insects and worms from the soil.
Because of the fact that it is not a shy bird it has gained a lot of popularity in Austria and Germany and probalby whole Europe. Among the ancient Germanic and Celtic tribes of Europe, the robin was considered to be the bearer and bringer of the sun. Therefore it always has a positiv impact on me and many others when seeing one of these lovely birds.

I have already met this bird on several places and during several occasions. And I am also very happy everytime I see it. It is something that puts a smile on your face, every time. Because they are very easily distinguishable from other birds they are also very popular among kids and people that don't know much about birds. The Robin is one of the birds a lot of people know, also due to the fact that this bird sometimes searches the proximity to people.
