Mating of the White Stork

Last year when I visited Lake Neusiedler in the end of April we were able to watch the mating of the white storks that had a nest directly across from our accommodation. It is very nice to watch and the storks on the roof do a lot of clacking with their beaks, before they start their mating ritual. In the early morning just after sunrise I was able to take several picture of the mating of two storks. It was an amazing experience. This year I will not be able to see this because of the COVID Lockdown here in Austria. And also according to the timeline the mating should already be over, and the Storks should expect their offspring soon.

Visiting the Burgenland is always a Highlight in my photography year and I really look forward to visiting this place of Austria pretty soon. But till know only the older population of Austria got a vaccacine against the COVID Virus and I am still awaiting my shot. I fear that I might still need to wait several weeks for my shot, but I hope to get it as soon as possible so I don't need to fear of an infection.
