Cute little birds are everywhere
... And unfortunately I don't know the species of this one. This photo was taken In São Tomé, an African island, and this little guy was a usual visitor to the hotel's lawn. He was a cute litte poser, and I think I got his best sides. Now... my favourite photo is this one:
But which one do you like best? This one? Left side?
or maybe right side favours him/her?
And if you happen to know the species... I would love if you would share it!
Not sure what kind of sparrow it is, but I would bet a sparrow. https://africanbirdclub.org/afbid/ a great sight for a lot of bird pictures, just could not find a sparrow with that orange beak.
Wow, didn't knew the website! Thank you very much! Another one to add to favourites ;) I will try to find out the species by here!
It would be nice if they had a slightly better search for things like orange beak, then it would pop up pretty quick I think. But some sort of a sparrow, but there are a lot of them.
Not sure about the specie, but we have the ones with pure black heads and the ones with yellow heads here too. Someone said the colors of the heads vary with mating seasons.
I love the frontal view best. It brings out the "worm - eye" camera angle better. I wouldn't like to be out there if I were a worm though 😁
Haha for sure! He was scouting! My favourite too ;)
Lovely shots, I like the first one best!
