THE MUSHROOM AS A MEDIA OF LEARNING IN THE FIELD OF BIOLOGICAL STUDIES

The place grows mushrooms in different forests, some grow on decayed wood, soil, and litter. The Wood fungus is a fungus attached to a wooden tree that undergoes a weathering process, but some types of wood fungi there are growing on the stems that are still alive, that is attached to the outer layer of stems.

The role of wood fungi in the forest among them are as parser, foodstuff, and medicine. As the decomposers, the fungus is able to decompose organic materials such as cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, proteins, and starch compounds with the help of enzymes. The fungus breaks down organic matter into an absorber compound and is used for its growth and development.

In learning Biology at school, the mushroom is one of the concepts taught, so it can be used as a medium of learning.
Media is the various types of components in a student environment that can stimulate it to learn. Teachers' important duty is to create conditions that enable their students to know and master the science of knowledge well.

A teacher needs to realize that the communication process cannot always run smoothly, even the communication process can lead to confusion, misunderstanding or even misconceptions. T

Media function is as a tool to be able to improve student learning outcomes, users must be supported by the decisions of teachers in choosing the media that will be used in an activity of teaching and learning process. It should not be presented in the classroom, but students can look directly at the object.
