    They are beautiful. The Prairie Dogs that they coexist with were hounded into near extinction by farmers and ranchers (using poison. A lot of poison). Then the plague arrived and it just decimated most of the wild populations. It's an incredibly successful reintroduction process. I'm really glad it worked.
