BIO - KIERAN NOLAN
I’m a Melbourne-based Educational Technologist, International Speaker, CoderDojo Mentor, and Blockchain Expert driven by three tenets: innovation, disruption, and lifelong learning—and it is these key values that empower me to play my part in revolutionising the EdTech space as we know it. Over the course of a decade, I have gained extensive industry experience, specialising in education, technology, and blockchain application.
I’m an Educational Technologist at Wooranna Park Primary School, where my strategic leadership has led the school to launching a 24/7 International Virtual Learning Environment in Minecraft, Victoria’s first CoderDojo, Australia’s first Immersive Education Club, the world’s youngest Cisco class, and the very first School on the Blockchain.
I have spoken at a multitude of prominent conferences including; Immersive Education (Paris), Wall Street (NYC), FYA, Australian Financial Review (SYD), Minecon, EduTech (SYD), and Future Schools among many others.
I’ve been involved with the Blockchain Centre since its inception, where I volunteer on a weekly basis. I’ve helped the community grow while educating people of all ages on the importance and application of blockchain technology.
My work with both Wooranna Park Primary School & The Blockchain Centre has garnered a fair amount of media attention, including The George Lucas Foundation, Bitcoin.com, The Age, and Australian Teacher Magazine. With nearly 4 million views on one of my latest television appearances.
I am also managing a number of projects that include: STEaM Centre (Wooranna Park Primary School), BlockWisdom (Learning Relationship System), and RocketShoes (IPFS for Education).
In addition to my Degree in Computer Science, Advanced Diploma in Cyber Security, and Diploma in Information Technology, I hold an array of designations from Cisco, Microsoft and Google.
