A hacker seized a Twitter account at the Binance Jersey crypto exchange.
The hacker reported through the stock exchange account that he is a cyber security researcher and has cracked for altruistic reasons. The hacking was confirmed by the Telegram group Binance Jersey.
The hacker said he also managed to acquire the binance.je. domain, which he could turn "into a huge finishing scheme to deceive millions. "I decided not to do so, although I really need the money. I hope the community appreciates it," he writes.
Binance Jersey is one of the units of the Binance Cryptocurrency Exchange aimed at servicing crypto-fiat trading in Europe. In the next two months, the company also intends to open a regulated market in the United States.
Hacker has asked CEO Binance Zhao to contact him directly. By the time of publication, all evidence of external interference had been removed from Binance Jersey's Twitter account.
Earlier it became known that Binance Jersey and Caspian trading company will be engaged in promotion of cryptocurrency trade in Europe.
