Collins Park

in #bilpcoin4 years ago

I took this photo for @bilpcoin tree photo contest.

I had to travel to Wagga Wagga today as my wife had an appointment there.
Whilst she was busy I decided to take a walk and stretch my legs.
I come across this awesome tree. The picture does not do the sheer size of this tree justice. It drew my attention as I walked into the park and at first I thought it was a ghost gum , a tree native to Australia. But as I got closer I could see it was not.

This was just one of many trees in the park as you can probably tell from the photo. Collins park is a nice little retreat from the busy city streets.
With most of the trees in the park being over 100 years old they are definitely the highlight of the park. The park does also have barbecue facilities, gazebo, toilets, a playground and some memorials.

If your in Wagga Wagga it is definitely worth checking out .
