Started my bike trip!
Startd my trip. Flew out to Los Angelas CA this morning.
Arrived here about 12:30pm. Staying at the Hilton tonight then ride off on my bike tomorrow to PA.
Here is the veiw from my hotel room...
Pick up bike tomorrow and start riding back to PA.
I've contacted my friend Harley , he may be able to help on your journey . Some enhancements to the bike would ease the physical stress . Keep your eye out for him . Harley Davidson . lol

Did you ever post a map route of the trek Doc ? Don't visit any of the beaches , you may never leave CA. Good luck

Oh, I hope I can do this sometime soon. If I can find someone to watch my dog long enough, then I will start planning such an epic adventure.
Its fun and worth it.
I look forward to following your trip on here. Are you using Adventure Cycling maps or just making your own route? Are you using Warmshowers.com for places to stay?
Got adventure cycling maps and their gpx stuff for my garmin bike gps... though they have proven to be dificult to understand.
Take your dog with you. Dog would enjoy long travel adventure with you. Many pet carrier bike trailers available or let dog walk sometimes.
Its fun for sure.
