🚲 Bonding Moment: An Afternoon Bike Ride in The Park Together With My Son - Part II
So let me start where I left off the last time, as we ride our bike along the concrete road at the riverbanks we noticed a tree filled with orange flowers this tree is what they call flamboyant tree, some of the flowers have fallen off already and are in the ground starting to decay. So we have to stop momentarily and see what the flowers up close and how they look like.
This is a continuation of the Bonding Moment: An Afternoon Bike Ride in The Park Together With My Son - Part I
The tree with the orange flowers is taller, there were two tamarind trees near the tree with orange flower which branches are blocking the view to see the flowers.
The orange flowers fallen of the tree and nature doing its thing.
Those are the flowers up on top but covered by a huge tamarind tree.
I had to use the zoom function on the ZS100 to get this close to the flowers.
After getting some good shots of the flamboyant tree, we continue our bike ride. As usual, my son is the one in front.
There's also a rhino near the corn and in the background are houses in the community opposite of the river.
As we ride along, we also pass by employees of the local municipality making sure that the park is clean all the time. They have this small machines to help them.
We also came across other bikers who are passing by along the concrete trail.
There's plenty of bamboos covering the road so it's not that hot and it helps cover the area from the sun. Even covers the huts that houses the farmers in the area.
We also saw a display of Philippine eagle that won a competition in 2016.
Finally we have reached the sunken garden of the Riverbanks Mall. This serves a lot of purpose, as a concert ground sometimes it hosts other kinds of events. Also a park where people just sit in the grass and relax.
Here is a panoramic view. of the garden.
We then head back where we came from and pass by the old factory, along the way are walkers and joggers.
These are the things we see everytime we go out there and rent bikes. Sometimes, when we don't have money my son and I just walk and talk along the way. He asks a lot of questions about what are those plants and what are those trees? He also learns a lot during our bonding. Even told him that the young bamboo shoots are edible and we eat them during our meals in the countryside. So what are your bonding stories with your children, please share them and let me know too. :)
