RELATIONSHIP TIP 2:COMMUNICATION

Effective communication is one important element that makes a relationship tick. It is the very essence of relationships and the reason isn't far-fetched. When two persons who didn't even have the intention of getting really close start talking to each other often, before long if each finds the other attractive, gradually 'feelings' will start being generated within both of them simply because they gave themselves to communicating and conversing with each other. As a matter of fact it is communication that breeds friendship.

When you come to know someone really well, you tend to love that person in a way you do not love others. Just as your proper knowledge of someone naturally helps you breed love for that person, in the same way proper communication with someone naturally helps you breed friendship with that person. It's all connected.

The more we communicate with someone, the better we know them. The better we know someone, the more we love them and at the same time, the stronger our friendship gets. Just imagine how applying these simple and practical things will help your relationship with your spouse/partner.

Poor communication or a lack of communication leads to misunderstanding. Like I always tell people, you cannot expect your friends to read your mind, they aren't mind readers. You cannot even successfully read people's minds. So, if you want people to understand you, the best you can do is to be open minded to them.

Tell them what you think and how you felt about what went wrong and/or what went right. Two persons who experience the same situation may interpret it differently. So, it makes things better and life easier for the both of you when you to choose to be open minded about situations and always talk about them.

One more thing that helps communication is understanding our difference in make up. For men, they are generally logical oriented compared to women who are more emotionally oriented. Men are generally love givers while women may always want to receive love because they are generally love seekers. Women have an in-built tendency to always want to share their feelings, burdens and concerns. Men are more work-minded while women are relationship minded, and so, it would be helpful if the man and the woman understand how men and women are wired to function, and operate with that knowledge.

As a man,when you don't listen to your wife/spouse/partner or give her the opportunity to talk and express her feelings, you're pushing her away and that affects your relationship negatively. Likewise as a woman, when you don't know when to give your man a little space, the same could happen.

Communication is what holds a relationship firm and causes it to flourish. There could be love and fireworks and all but as scripture says every part is needed to make the body complete. Take advantage of everything and anything to talk with the one you love and see giant strides in your love life.
