LOVE NUGGET 24: THE PATH OF LOVE!

Walking the love path is not only a continuous decision or choice but also a continuous sacrifice. I came to this conclusion after having gone through the Holy Spirit inspired words of Paul the apostle in scriptures.
Today's opening verse indicates that loving at times might not always get you the desired results of reciprocity that you naturally may want to have and that the joy isn't always going to come from what you expect to receive from the one you love or the people you show love to. Humanly speaking, this can be discouraging as sometimes these people you're showing all this love don't even desire that you love them.
My dear friend, be encouraged. Though you may not see them, you receive rewards as you love. Love blesses you with spiritual benefits that the eyes cannot see. When you truly love someone, you are not expecting them to love you back the way you love them. A true lover whose heart has been affected by God's awesome love, has a determination to out-love the other person. You're blessing yourself as you love. You're not running at a loss at all.
You see, you should be glad as you show love because the love you give first blesses you before it pours out of you and then, it returns and blesses you for allowing it go out of you. Love makes you a better person. When you feel like not giving love out anymore, you can always draw the strength and encouragement to go on loving from our Love King Himself, Christ Jesus.

Christ loved us relentlessly. He loved us recklessly. He put everything on the line. He didn't wait to receive our love for Him before He loved us so amazingly and indescribably. As we look around we can see that all that love He gave has beautified our world today. What would the world be like if He didn't do what He did? He's long gone but the world has forever been impacted by His love and will never recover from it. You and I can do the same in our individual worlds today if we would choose to walk love's path.
Someone once said that love is suffering, as one side always loves more. I know many will not like to think of love as suffering but as a blessing because we want to do it cheerfully. Loving cheerfully is great, in fact that's the way it should be. Truth remains though that love is both a blessing and a suffering. But even if love can truly be said to be suffering, we are not moved. It's a good kind of suffering that we are willing to undergo. It's the kind of suffering that God gives His blessing to. It's good suffering. And what's the suffering there? It's being the greater giver.
Like Paul said in the verse we are studying today, I want to be the one who loves more, who spends more and is more willing to be spent. Love is worth it. My level of giving will not be determined by the response I'm getting but by the fact that I'm on a worthy course. The one who loves more gets all the praise, beauty, riches and good health just as Christ had and still has. Let's give more today. This is how to walk love's path. This is true love and true love will always be the answer that this world needs.
