DEAL GONE BAD

Eric sat down calmly at the far end of the restaurant, his fingers slowly drumming on the table.

He had quickly surveyed the spacious room the moment he walked in, it was something he does every time. The moment he walks into any place, his brain can't help but calculate all the weaknesses and escape route of the place. And currently all he could see was four windows and a back door, the windows were a little bit high so it will take a little while to pass through it, a bad idea if the person was been shot at, he will be dead before he even fit through it.

The back door on the other hand would be a nice escape route and that was why Eric had choose that sit. He wasn't really expecting any thing dirty to go down tonight but you never can tell what could happen with this guys. He was meeting with a client tonight, a man known as Hector, one of the gang leaders of the underworld. He was to get paid by Hector tonight.

Eric eyes slowly shift towards the door when he noticed some people walk in. They were dressed in suit with heavy muscles. He could tell they were Hector's boys.

"It's about time" Eric muttered as he watched the men walk towards him, they were exactly five in number, that is if you don't want to count the four extra men waiting in the car.

Eric raised an eyebrow when he noticed Hector wasn't with them.

"You've got what I want? " One of the hefty men asked with his deep baritone voice.

"Where's Hector? " Eric asked without even looking at him.

"He had to attend to other important issues" the hefty man said, he was starting to feel irritated.

Eric smiled.

"Do you have it?"

"Sure" Eric replied and tossed his phone towards the big guy.

The man smiled "Did he scream? "

"Like a sissy now, where's my money?" Eric asked.

The big man gestured towards one of the other guys and the man walked forward with a briefcase on his hands.

"You're really good at what you do" the big man said and slowly opened the case.

Eric dived towards the back door the moment the big man started withdrawing his hands from the case just in time to avoid the round of bullet that came out from the mini Uzi gun that was hidden in the briefcase.

The big guy emptied the rounds and made to reload with he fell down with a bullet to his head.

"One down, four to go" a female voice said and looked into the sniper again.

The four other hefty guys were taken aback as to where the shot from where when Eric quickly jumped out of his hiding spot, three shots from his pistol saw two men dead even before reaching the floor.

The other two opened fire at him but they too were silenced in no time.

"More of Hector's men on their way, you have to get out of there now" a female voice said into the comm in Eric's ear and he quickly made for the back door.

The restaurant was already empty, the only thing there was Hector's men dead body.

Eric quickly ran towards his bike which a lady was sitting on.

"Thanks for the safe Eve, nice shot" Eric said and got on the bike.

"Anytime" she said and held on to him.

'This wasn't over' Eric thought. A deal just went bad and they were gonna pay.
