Hello everyone! Africa also known as black continent is richly blessed with a lot of resources and great people. This people has done Africa continent proud in every aspect of life both in home and abroad
@oxygen02 will be bringing to you the history of all this people and how they have contributed to the development of Africa as a continent.
Today i will be telling you everything you need to know about no other person but " A Great Man From GHANA"
KOFI ATTA ANNAN
Kofi atta annan was born on 8 April, 1938. In comassie Gold Coast now kumasi, Ghana. He started his education in 1954 in the elite mfantsipin school, methodist boarding school in cape coast and graduated in 1957.
He started studying economics at the kumasi college of science and technology where he later procede to macalester college in ST Paul, minnesota, United State to study economics in an attempt to complete his undergraduate.
He was married to Titi Alakija with 1965 to 1983( divorce) and Nane Maria Lagergen from 1984 till present moment. The formal with 2 children and the latter with 1 child( Kojo, Nina and Ama)
He started working in 1962 and was appointed director of tourism in Ghana between 1974 to1976. He was the 7th secretary general of the United Nation from 1997 to 2006 and was succeeded by Ban Kin-Moon
A great man from Ghana protecting and elevating the culture, prestige and image of Africa at the global level. This is a man who never go out there to tarnish the image of Africa, who don't use yesterday to spoil Today because he cares for the coming generation(Tomorrow).
In 2007, he founded the the Kofi Annan foundation, he was so optimistic that fair and peaceful community rest on three pillars; peace and security, sustainable development and human rights and the rule of law.
In one of his quote he said
Children are our future and if we use them in battle, we are destoring the future. We must reclaim them, every one of them, one at a time
He was recognize for preaching peace worldwide which is the one of the objectives of his foundation. There is no doubt, this is a man with a caring heart with a lot of honours and awards to his name both in home and abroad. Few of those are;

- Companion of the order of the starof Ghana
- Knight commander of the most courteous order of lesotho
Awards
- Foriegn honourary member of the America Academy of Arts and Science
- Kora all Africa music Awards in the category of lifetime achievement
- Harvard University Honors prize
- Thr nobel peace price
- Peace of westphalia prize
