A relationship is a way two or more people talk to have behave towards each other. It depicts the fact that relationship shows the way two or more people are connected. This post would concentrate on the relationship between a male and female, which could probably be sexual. The main discourse is on how the real relationship should look like, not the perfect one.

The word ‘real' is used instead of ‘perfect' simply because humans are far from been perfect and it would not make sense to expect something close when two imperfect beings come together. When two people come together, the goal is to make each other better than before. The relationship they are now having should mutualism (where both are gaining) and not commensalism (where one is benefiting from the significant other while the other is not harmed).

A real relationship between the two parties should involve each one striving to see the other improve without any form of pretence or jealousy. Which I believe is lacking nowadays, as everyone do not want to be regarded as fools. We all want to be ‘sharp’ , always getting the best without considering one another. Always trying to play others for a fool, while playing smart. It is not meant for a relationship to be draining or toxic, it is supposed to be uplifting and refreshing.

I have seen people leave a relationship not because of abuse, feeling used, drained or anything of such. They left simply because they could not offer their significant other what he/she really needs. They got to the stage where they know that their presence is tieing down the other, and the only way they could let the partner blossom is to leave. This to me is a definition of a real relationship.

There is a picture story I saw online and I intend to share with this piece, it is the story of a boy and girl. They are trying to reach the top of the ladder, the boy is carrying the girl and ensuring they move up together. But it got to a stage where the boy got weary too, then comes another boy with a jet that carries the girl away. The first boy was left behind to continue his journey to the top alone. He might be sad that he lost the girl but he knows the girl is better off with the other boy with the jet.

Do not drain anyone in a relationship, you should uplift and watch each other grow. There must be changes, and the changes must be positive. Stay away from abusive relationship, do not think you would not fond someone to treat you right. Real attracts the real, get real and true with yourself and watch the right person locate you.
