Put your children in schools you can afford, your friends children are going to an expensive school doesn't mean yours should too. Who told you expensive school guarantee good result or better future. Just ensure they attend good and affordable schools.
Staying in an estate living inside a duplex is cool until you can't afford to pay the rent. Rent apartment you can conveniently pay for. My dad will say the moment you start paying house rent, One year begin to look like one month.
Plan your life properly, I find it uncomfortable when I see families struggling during child birth. A man whose wife is pregnant haa 9 good month to prepare so also is the woman carrying the child. Child birth should not be an issue if there was proper preparation.
Some problems in our life don't just pop up. 9 months ago you know your wife would give birth, 12 months ago you know you will have to renew your rent. It was never an emergency and should not be treated as such
Plan your life and live within your means. Save more and spend less, do not show more than what you have, if possible appear less than what you have.

Some people who don't earn much will go and have a DSTV at home when they can go for a GOTV, having the dstv will not even be the issue, they'll still subscribe for the highest package. Plan your life.
