Poverty ranking... Nigeria already on the verge

We were told it all happens because of the recession in the country. We were told the recession was as a result of the past adminstration. We were told to go back to farm, buy made in Nigeria and grow made in Nigeria.

Yes, we believe them and thought that was the truth. Most of us are ready to argue and defend them whereas we are truly blind to the reality of things.
This is a government that has deceitfully sold out their propaganda to us because we are not wise enough to see. The hope of a better future reminiscing from the few achievement of the past propel a whole lot of Nigerian to actively cast their vote for this present government.

After spending almost three years in a political motivated recession, it was announced to us that the country is out of recession and our foreign reserve has also increases but unknowingly to us it was a news to dooze the tension so that we might have a renewed hope of a bright outcome.

It might be a news to some people but it's no longer a news at the international scene where Nigeria is now declare the country with the highest number of citizen leaving below poverty level. This is not a demonic attack but an institutional/government attack. There hasn't be any concrete plan to allievate the poverty in the land either by job creation to reduce unemployment, provision of enabling environment for artisan, provision of an affordable and quality education system and also promoting of indigenous market/companies.

It is so unfortunate that a country that can boast of mineral resources, crude oil, fertile soil and good climatic conditions can still plunge into been the poverty ridden state. This can sole be attributed to the selfishness of our leaders and non patriotism of some citizen at the helms of affairs.

I can see tens of hundred companies within my state that has gone into exile not to talk of all over the country. If this company are resuscitated this will drastically reduce unemployment and also help in boosting of locally made goods.

Now that the budget of the federation for the year 2018 has just be sign by the presidency, I hope we can have people oriented goals provided the cables in power allows the less privileged to enjoy the wealth of the nation.

My thought

If things must change in the country then some shake up must be seen in governance

• All political offices must be place on minimum wages as monthly salary and all allowances must not be more than 10% of the minimum wage.
• There must be accountability and accessibility of offices to members of the public
• All local industries must be resuscitated and strengthened by the government, this is provide employment and also reduce our foreign importation.
• Act of entrepreneur must be encourage and enforce from secondary school level.
• There must be non strenuous grant available for small scale industries.

2019 election is closer than we imagine, all Nigerian with the voting Age should go and get their permanent voters card (PVC) and also prepare to vote.

Nigeria is destiny to be great but greatness lies in individual.
