Steem Dollar Big Mac price index
I wanted to know how much I have to pay for a big mac if I wanted to buy one with Steem Dollar exchanged to Bitcoin.
Basis:
- Big Mac US: $4.79
- Big Mac BTC: 0.008419
Exchanges:
- Blocktrades: 5.89 $D (+1.1)
- Bittrex: 5.55 $D (+0.76)
- Poloniex: 5.58 $D (+0.79)
In average, I have to pay 18% more in Steem Dollar for a Big Mac.
Using Steem Dollar currently means 10-15% loss to the Dollar, and I hope they come up with ideas to bring it closer to the real peg.

There are rumors that Shapeshift will be adding Steem support soon. If that is the case you will be able to do an exchange with very little fee.
they buy coins from exchanges too, so if you lose 10% at poloniex, you'll lose 10% at shapeshift as well
id guess at least 11%!
We just need liquidity! and more market makers! ohh and a btc /steem dollar exchange built in to steemit exchange before 1 steem dollar will be within 5% of a $
We need more educated bulls and bears in order to raise steem price, not just anyone willing to sell their sbd for a quick buck
you are aware that steem dollar is meant as an everyday currency? you should use it.
