DxChain network provide solutions to big data problems by maximize individual dataset to its ability, empower data creators to control their own specific information, protect particular information with flexibility, support business information and machine learning algorithms.

The team has developed revolutionary chains-on-chain architecture which includes one master chain and two side chains (storage chain and computation chain). The structure was designed as such in order to solve multiple issues related to data computation, storage, and privacy issues; this would otherwise be difficult to do simultaneously with only one chain.

The three-chains on DxChain’s platform stores different informations. Master chain stores events such as receipts, contracts, and transactions. Data side chain stores megadata, which is a set of data that provides information on other data and serves as a method of storage retrieval while computation side chain stores computing specific task performed on DxChain.

Master Chain is in charge of maintaining transactions and provide highest level of security and stability. Side chains are in charge of storage and computation. Since in modern era we are making data every single second when we use smartphones, talk to our friends or use different applications.

So, in order to hold such a big data side chains are made time bounded, so that the expired data should not be stored and processed. To manage and control big data the DxChain team is designing a chain shortening algorithm which could remove unused data to save valuable data space.

Since DxChain is not using blockchain for only storing transactions like bitcoin but all the big data, the computations running are intended to support more general-purpose processing, such as database query and MapReduce work. It is impossible to store all computation states in a blockchain therefore, the DxChain team uses two methods for the correctness of the computations: verification game algorithm and Provable Data Computation (PDC).

Verification game algorithm is a system designed to enable any computational task to be performed securely. The three main roles includes solver, verifier and judge. It testify the correctness of a computation procedure without wasting too much computation power. Provable Data Computation (PDC) allows the network to verify the correctness of computation result. DxChain Network is visualized to solve the problems of computation outsourced and decentralized mining using verification game algorithm and PDC.

DxChain has incorporated Hadoop, big data storing platform as its computation engine. It is an open source software framework for data storage which provide excessive processing power and handle limitless tasks or job. It includes HDFS for file storage and MapReduce for job scheduling. MapReduce is the heart of Hadoop. It is comprised of two steps. Map step is a master node that takes inputs and partitions them into smaller subproblems and then distributes them to worker nodes. After the map step has taken place, the master node takes the answers to all of the subproblems and combines them to produce output.
