BIG DATA IN EDUCATION

Big data is probably the hottest term in recent years. The most direct impression is that the amount of data is large. The big data concept is derived from the earliest subject of information explosion, which is used to describe the amount of target data. The scale is far beyond the general computer processing power. [1] But truly understanding the meaning of big data requires a definition of big data from the US Internet Center: A new technology architecture that captures value from high-volume data through high-speed capture, discovery/analysis. [2] Usually people generalize big data with 4V, namely: Volume, Variety, Velocity and Value. Personally think that Value is the embodiment of the true meaning of big data: through the value of data mining, data is no longer a pile of messy numbers but a resource equivalent to minerals. Through the phenomenon reflected behind the numbers, people are guided to produce and live. Make adjustments to the plan, etc. Therefore, personally think that big data is a kind of resource, which is different from the traditional figures. The number can only reflect a level, but the data reflects the ability to see the essence through the phenomenon.ouIn the field of education, the combination of big data and education is something we have been discussing. It was shocked when I participated in an educational technology exhibition held at the Beijing National Convention Center some time ago, but I was thinking about it. At present, domestic big data technology has developed better, and it has been applied in many fields of education, such as the student mental health early warning monitoring platform supported by big data technology, and the intelligent classroom monitoring platform. But personally, this is just to apply big data technology to education, such as the smart classroom monitoring platform: the platform uses the face recognition technology for classroom sign-in, which is just to transfer face recognition technology to the classroom total application! You can simply define this as stated on the corporate leaflet: "Our company is the Big Data Technology company"?

Education big data is not only the application of big data and cloud computing technology in education, but also the application of the big data era to guide education reform. The era of big data has: thinking ways of sharing and sharing [3], openness, and individualization can provide us with many ideas for education reform. This is also my education big data that I personally understand. We need not only the application level, but also the basic theory and the philosophy of technology. In the future, I will continue to discuss educational big data with you, from the application level, the theoretical level, and the technical philosophy level.
