IT’S TIME FOR JOE TO GO.

Watching the first few minutes of tonight's interview with George Stephanopoulos, I reached a new conclusion about our current president:

Re-electing Joe Biden to a second four-year term as our nation’s president constitutes POLITICAL MALPRACTICE!

I've never particularly liked the guy. I've always thought he was hokey. But I've also figured that he was trying to do the best job he could for the country, given his limited abilities. He's not the sharpest pencil in the box. Our previous two Democratic presidents, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, are really smart guys -- much smarter than Joe ever was or ever will be.

But watching Biden tonight, in the interview with Stephanopoulos -- and I couldn't bring myself to watch the whole thing, but I think I watched enough to reach an informed conclusion, which is:

If Joe Biden really loves the United States, and if he wants the country to do well over the next four years, he will withdraw his name from contention for the Democratic presidential nomination for a second term. Why? Because he's already 81 years old and HE IS VISIBLY, DEMONSTRABLY SLIPPING – MENTALLY – and that slippage shows up in a simple news interview. Even if you think Biden is still fully capable of being President today, are you sanguine about the prospects for his remaining fully competent – physically and mentally – to perform the demanding functions of the presidency for four and half more years???

It’s obvious to me – and I'm old too– that Joe Biden no longer has the energy, the strength, and the brain function to get him through 4 ½ more years of the toughest job in the world. HE AIN’T GONNA MAKE IT! If he is re-elected, his physical and mental health will decline – as they do for many, if not most, people in their eighties. We’ve already seen signs of his mental and physical decline. How much more do you need to see before concluding that “he’s been on the job too long”?
