I wanna focus on Biden's "Eight bullets in a round." proposed policy.

Obviously, he was having another senior moment -- he meant, "No more than eight bullets in a magazine."

Still, this is relevant for a few reasons.

New York already has a capacity limit of ten rounds to a magazine. Possession of any magazine that holds more than ten rounds is a felony. So, in this case, Biden is arguing that federal law should go farther than one of the most, if not the most restrictive state in the country in regard to guns.

This is why we can't trust the "Common sense gun law." people. It's like giving a mouse a cookie every time.

Still, the anti-2A people constantly ask us, "Why do you need that?"

Well, as I've said before, I don't have to explain why I need something in order to possess something that I have a right to have. Still, in this case, there are a lot of reasons.

Now, to steel-man the other side, FBI data show that most reported uses of guns in self-defense situations are short, in close quarters, and only three shots are fired. Those data were part of my reason for buying Snappy. Bernie Goetz managed to subdue four attackers with a five shot revolver. In a lot of cases, eight shots are enough.

Still, Eli Dicken fired ten shots to take out that would-be mass shooter. Timothy Gramins hit a violent criminal fifteen times, in vital organs, before the bad guy stopped trying to kill him. With the greater push for mob justice that we've seen over the last couple of years, there's an increased likelihood that you're gonna need more bullets to protect yourself from more attackers.

Still, as has been said on numerous occasions by people who do a lot of work in this field, the only people who do, or should worry about laws like this are the people who want to carry a gun for protection.

A bad guy who commits a crime with a gun doesn't care about the possession charge. Realistically, the possession charge is going to be the first thing that gets plea bargained out when you're talking about an armed robbery or a murder.

If you're simply caught with the wrong gun, or the wrong magazine in this case, even if you have legitimately simply defended yourself or otherwise got caught, you're not gonna get a plea bargain because, you've clearly violated the law, and that's all they have on you.

I'm not talking out of my ass here. Bernie Goetz was acquitted on all but one charge. He was clearly defending himself. He was clearly being assaulted. He was clearly within his rights to use deadly force. I argue that he was clearly within his right to have his gun; but, New York decided otherwise; so, he still spent a year in jail.

That's all these laws do -- punish the innocent.
