Earnshaw (Original) | Bicicleta Music Contest
Earnshaw es una pequeña canción que escribí a principios de año. Es una revisita al amor en el siglo XXI: el producto de nuestra respuesta al bombardeo de romanticismo al que hemos sido expuestos. A como amamos odiarlo y a como odiamos amarlo. Es egocéntrica, es pretenciosa, es simple y está en inglés porque soy un vendido. Es humana, es empática y espero disfruten escucharla tanto como yo disfruto tocarla.
Earnshaw is a little song I wrote at the year's begining. It's a revision of love in the XXI century: the product of our response to the blast of romanticism we've been exposed to. On how we love to hate it and how we hate to love it. It's self-centered, it's pretentious, it's simple and it's in english because I'm a sell-out. It's human, it's relatable and I hope you like it as much as I like playing it.
(Oh well I guess it’s time) again for all these feelings that we love to call deceiving
In this lack of comprehension of what’s going on as we’re trying to make sense
from the facts I subtract from the way that you act
and the tact that I’ve realized that no one ever seems to
have good intentions, when we’re talking stranger’s relations
but neither are them bad for what it’s worth
although I probably should mention: that nothing’s really worth a lot
to me or to you, but I guess that will do if you’re looking for some non-required fun
if you’re that kind of person, I don’t judge, but the way I function is
I’m cooking a heavy anxiety attack, it’s no fun I should tell you but definitely it'll break the ice
And a friendship or two, let’s not focus on collateral trash
In the state of “yeah, nothing matters but I’ll still get involved”
Well eventually you get used to listening to excuses that collapse as you try to add them up

‘Cause we all know what it’s like to be the heart of everything we’ve ever known
And for exactly the same reasons we don’t have no clue at all
(I’ve been thinking ‘bout the) unconvincing aspects that have brought me to this nasty
Separation between aesthetics, and the ethics and the filling of oneself
And I’ve come to conclusion that It’s all an illusion and in lack of solutions I’ll further
