Bible - First exchanges of words between the first disciples and JesussteemCreated with Sketch.

The following is from John 1:1-51

The Bible says that John the Baptist came before Jesus, in order to baptize people. However, he never considered himself greater than Jesus, though he came before him. In fact, John the Baptist said that he is not even worthy of untying the shoe laces of the shoes of Jesus.

One day John the Baptist and a couple of his disciples were watching Jesus, when John said to them that Jesus is the "Lamb of God" and that he will take sin away.

The two disciples of John the Baptist thereafter followed Jesus and when Jesus asked them, "What do you seek?" John 1:38

They answered Jesus by asking him where he lived.

Upon this Jesus answered them, "Come with me and you will see" John 1:39

After following Jesus to his place and staying with him, one of the two disciples, Andrew, went to find his brother, Simon, in order to give him the gladtidings that the Messiah had arrived. When Simon came to see Jesus, Jesus said to him, "You are Simon, the son of John. You will be called Cephas” (“Cephas” means “Peter”) John 1:42

The following day, Jesus went to Galilee, the same city that Andrew and Peter were from, to meet Philip. When Jesus met Philip he said to him, "Follow me." John 1:43

Philip found Nathanael and told that they had found the man Moses had mentioned about. Nathanael was skeptical of anything good coming out of Nazareth. However, when Jesus saw Nathanael Jesus said about Nathanael, "This man coming is a true Israelite, one you can trust." John 1:47

Upon this, Nathanael was curious to know how Jesus knew him. Jesus answered, "I saw you when you were under the fig tree, before Philip told you about me." John 1:48

When Nathanael believed, Jesus wanted to make sure that Nathanael was not fooling himself and accepting on the spur of the moment. Jesus said to Nathanael, “Do you believe this just because I said I saw you under the fig tree? You will see much greater things than that! Believe me when I say that you will all see Heaven open. You will see 'angels of God going up and coming down' on the Son of Man.” John 1:50-51

Amazing how Jesus asked them "What do you seek?" But, he already knew what they wanted before they even asked him...Amazing:) Thanks @tamim!
