Romans 15:1~33

우리 강한 사람들은 마땅히 연약한 사람들의 약점을 감싸주고 자기가 기뻐하는대로 하지 않도록 해야 합니다.
우리 각 사람은 이웃을 기쁘게 해 선을 이루고 덕을 세워야 합니다. 그리스도께서는 자기를 기쁘게 하지 않으셨습니다. 기록되기를 "주를 욕하는 사람들으 ㅣ그 욕이 내게 미쳤다."라고 한 것과 같습니다. 무엇이든지 이전에 기록된 것은 우리에게 교훈을 주기 위해 기록됐습니다. 이는 우리로 하여금 성경이 주는 인내와 위로로 인해 소망을 품게 하려는 것입니다. 이제 인내와 위로의 하나님께서 여러분으로 하여금 그리스도 예수를 본받아 서로 같은 뜻을 품게 하시고 한마음과 한 입으로 하나님, 곧 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 아버지께 영광을 돌릴 수 있게 해주시기를 빕니다. 그러므로 그리스도께서 하나님의 영광을 위해 우리를 받아 주신 것처럼 여러분도 서로 받으십시오. 내가 말하는 것은 이것입니다. 그리스도께서는 하나님의 진실하심을 위해 할례받은 사람의 종이 되셨습니다. 이는 조상에게 주신 약속들을 확증하시고 이방 사람들도 그 긍휼하심을 받아 하나님께 영광 돌리게 하시려는 이것입니다. 기록되기를 '그러므로 내가 이방 사람들 가운데서 주께 찬양을 드리며 주의 이름을 찬송합니다." 라고 한 것과 같습니다. 또 말하기를 "이방 사람들아, 주의 백성과 함게 기뻐하라."고 했고 또 말하기를 "모든 이방 사람들아, 주를 찬양하며 모든 백성들아, 그를 찬송하라"고 했으며 또 이사야가 말하기를 "이새의 뿌리, 곧 이방 사람들을 다스리기 위해 일어나시는 이가 있으리니 이방 사람들이 그 안에 소망을 둘 것이다." 라고 했습니다. 이제 소망의 하나님께서 여러분의 믿음 생활 가운데 모든 기쁨과 평강을 충만하게 하셔서 성령의 능력으로 소망이 흘러넘치게 하시기를 빕니다.
내 형제들이여, 나는 여러분 자신이 선으로 가득하고 모든 지식이 충만하므로 서로 권면할 수 있으리라고 확신합니다. 그러나 하나님께서 내게 주신 은혜로 인해 여러분에게 몇 가지를 담대하게 쓴 것은 여러분에게 다시 생각나게 하기 위함입니다. 이 은혜로 나는 이방 사람들을 위한 그리스도 예수의 일꾼이 되게 해서 하나님의 복음을 전하는 제사장 직무를 수행하게 하시려는 것입니다. 이로써 이방 사람을 제물로 드리는 일이 성령 안에서 거룩하게 돼서 받으실 만한 것이 되게 하시려는 것입니다. 그러므로 내가 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나님의 일에 대해 자랑할 것이 있습니다.
하지만 그리스도께서 이방 사람들을 순종하게 하시려고 나를 통해 이루신 일 이외에는 감히 아무것도 말하지 않겠습니다. 그것은 말과 행동으로 표적과 기사의 능력으로 (하나님의)성령의 능력으로 이뤄졌습니다. 그래서 나는 예루살람에서 일루리곤까지 두루 다니며 그리스도의 복음을 널리 전파했습니다. 또한 나는 그리스도의 이름을 부르지 않는 곳에 복음 전하기를 열망했습니다. 이는 남의 터 위에 집을 짓지 않으려는 뜻에서였습니다. 기록되기를 "주의 소식을 받지 못한 사람들이 볼 것이요, 듣지 못한 사람들이 깨닫게 될 것이다." 라고 한 것과 같습니다. 그래서 나는 여러분에게 여러 차례 가려고 했으나 길이 막혔습니다.
그러나 이제는 내가 이 지역에서 더 일할 곳이 없고 또 여러 해 동안 여러분을 만나보고 싶은 소원이 있었으므로 내가 스페인에 갈 때 여러분을 방문하려고 합니다. 이것은 내가 지나는 길에 여러분에게 들러 얼마간 여러분과 기쁨을 나눈 후에 여러분의 후원으로 그곳에 가기를 원하기 때문입니다. 그러나 지금은 성도를 섬기는 일로 예루살렘으로 가는 길입니다. 이는 마케도니아와 아가야 사람들이 예루살렘의 가난한 성도들을 위해 기꺼이 얼마를 기부했기 때문입니다. 그들이 기쁨으로 그렇게 했지만 사실 그들은 예루살렘 성도들에게 빚진 사람들입니다. 만일 이방 사람들이 그들의 신령한 것들을 나눠 가졌으며 육신적ㅇ니 것들로 그들을 섬기는 것이 마땅합니다. 그러므로 내가 이 일을 마치고 그들에게 이 열매를 확실히 전달한 후에 여러분에게 들렀다가 스페인으로 가려고 합니다. 내가 여러분에게 갈 때 그리스도의 충만한 복을 가지고 갈 줄을 압니다. 형제들이여, 내가 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 힘입고 성령의 사람을 힘입어 여러분에게 부탁합니다. 나를 위해 여러분도 나와 함게 하나님께 열심히 기도해 주십시오. 평강의 하나님께서 여러분 모두와 함께 하시기를 빕니다. 아멘.

1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 2 Let every one of us please [his] neighbour for [his] good to edification. 3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. 4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. 5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: 6 That ye may with one mind [and] one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God. 8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises [made] unto the fathers: 9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for [his] mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. 10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. 11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people. 12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust. 13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. 14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. 15 Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God, 16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost. 17 I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God. 18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed, 19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. 20 Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation: 21 But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand. 22 For which cause also I have been much hindered from coming to you. 23 But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you; 24 Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your [company]. 25 But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints. 26 For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem. 27 It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things. 28 When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain. 29 And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ. 30 Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in [your] prayers to God for me; 31 That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which [I have] for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints; 32 That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed. 33 Now the God of peace [be] with you all.
